A Helluva Experience

17 12 2006

My first entry after giving birth to a baby boy.

It has been 9 days since Muhamad Rifqi Naufal Bin Muhamad Nizam is born. Giving birth was really a helluva experience. I’m glad that both Zam and I made the decision to have our baby here in Kedah even though he was not around during the labor. Having my Mom besides me all thru’ the nite had somehow made it easier. Yeah, talking about the pain in my back which strikes every 10 minutes. Ay ya ya ya ya! Thanks Mak for massaging my back every now and then!

I guess what I heard before is right…having a baby does change you. It changes the way you think, it changes the way you look into things. It changes almost everything. It has made me appreciate life even more. It helps me into understanding my parents better. It made me want to live life to the fullest. It is indescribable!

Attach below are some of Rifqi’s photos. Welcome to the world my dear child!

(p/s: Thanks Ayue and Chech for dropping by. Chech! Dun forget to give me your wordpress blog address.)

Mixture Of Feelings

6 12 2006

I’ve passed the estimated due date! And yet there are no signs. My friends started calling me almost everyday asking about my conditions. Thanks people for being concern. Hehe..

I’m scheduled for another check up at Alor Setar General Hospital O&G Unit tomorrow morning. My case will be refered to Dr. Zubaidah, a friend of my former gynae. So, what’s really important is the Doctor’s verdict. If she says I’m to be admitted then I will, if she says vice versa, that is such a relief. I’m hoping that Zam could be with me when the time comes.

It’s hard to be away from him at this crucial time. I’m not sure why but I guess it’s the hormone thingy. I tend to be extra vulnerable and sensitive over small things. Talking over phone with him doesn’t help either, feel like crying most of the time. Isk…isk…

Of all the things that happen, I’m grateful for I had sleepless nights no more. At least I wake up fresher in the morning. Currently I’m spending my time helping with small chores at home and catching up with some interesting television programmes. My favourite for the moment is Bawang Merah Bawang Putih and the following Spanish soap opera.

FYI, I’ve gained some weight but still is under control. I’ll post news on the result tomorrow.

(p/s: Really miss Zam badly. It’s hard not to be near him..Huhu)

A Night Visit

5 12 2006

I just came back from Alor Setar General Hospital. I went there to get my BP  as well as CTG reading. Alhamdulillah, the result showed positive result. For the time being, there are no signs just yet even though the estimated due date is supposed to be tomorrow. My panel Doctor had advised me to get an induce previously. But my Mom suggested to wait for the time to come.

I’m not torn between two choices. As far as I’m concern, as long as the kick chart is closely monitored, it will be perfectly Okay.

Till then, I guess all I could do is wait.

Tick-tock…

(p/s: Thanks, Mak for the air-cond!)

Two Days To Go…

3 12 2006

Here I am – in my hometown Kedah. At first, I planned to deliver in Az-Zahrah Bandar Baru Bangi, but a call from my Mom suddenly changed everything. On Friday morning, Zam and I both made up our mind that delivering in Kedah would be a good idea. Even though there’s a chance that he would miss the whole labor process.

If my Doctor’s prediction is right, I would have another two days before labouring. For the time being I’m feeling perfectly fine and healthy. However I don’t really have a good night sleep anymore. Last night, I kept tossing on my bed and had to wake up and sleep on the sofa. I guess it’s just normal for mom-to-be.

Okay then, got to go. I’m catching up with Zam who’s gone to get a new hair cut. Ciao.

The End Is The Beginning

1 12 2006

My anniversary is in two days time and I’m clueless on what to get for Zam. Any ideas? During break time, Ayue, Wardah and I went to Alamanda where we were then joined by Tina, Nurul and her other two friends. It was good to catch up with colleagues from the same batch. We talked about Rocco, Rudy and Adnan’s weddings. Not forgetting Beth’s engagement ceremony. I guess right after DPA, people do rush to settle down. Do I hear any wedding bells ring, Ayue? Wardah?

After lunch, we went to MPH as I was to browsed for Anniversary card and Ayue for things-to-do lists. I bought a simple blank card so that I could write something extra special later. Ayue did not manage to find her item though. So, off we went straight to Level 2 stopping at Body Shop. I had recently developed the urge to buy home fragrance accessories. Being in Body Shop made it even more difficult to control the temptation. Finally, I ended up buying two home fragrance oils – Papaya and Cranberry. I find comfort inhaling the scent. It helps to soothe and relax my body, mind and soul. Hmm…

As today is the last day I’m working, I’m now preparing a list full of the unfinished projects for someone else to carry on. Till then, I guess it’s an adios!
