Ain’t a One-Way Ticket

27 09 2007

Tomorrow, accompanied by NPT’s PSUK (soon-to-be KPSU, effective on 1st October 2007), I’ll be spending morning till evening at Langkawi Island. Sad to say that it is not on leisure purposes (obviously <deng> otherwise, Zam and Lil’ Baby Rifqi would tag along, hohoho). I’ll be inspecting (betul ke penggunaan perkataan ni? hentam sajalah) Langkasuka Hotel, the rooms, accomodations, facilities; meant for the upcoming bengkel on November.

All the other hotels are fully booked. Damn!

The good news is, I’ll make an appoint to shop for chocolate. Most definitely. Yup! I am a chocolate afficinado. Truly am.

Chocolate anyone?

*daydreaming of Ritter Sport’s white chocolate crunchiness * nyum nyum

The Arrival of My New Baby

26 09 2007

I remembered blogging about my ‘broken’ camera. Went without camera for about a month or so. Suffering and boring, indeed. I even had to borrow Yen’s cam for certain events – interview session at Penang and Integrity Convention at PICC. And the last two days, with  green lights from Zam, I went to Alamanda with Chech to get a new one. Yup, a brand new one.

This time around with more money to spend on, read : Zam said that he’s willing to pay half of the cost, I decided to look for a camera with better functions. Chech as the expert showed me the differences between available brands. Not forgetting the customer-friendly kiosk owner, Mr Johnny. We all agreed on something though. The best model is still Canon. Although I was more interested to Sony at first, but after listening to the explainations which sounded really convincing, I’d stick to Canon.

This time around, it’s DIGITAL IXUS 950IS. Instead of 4.0 megapixels read : my former cam, this new baby of mine is 8.0 megapixels with 4x optical zoom and a face detection function. Much much better than before.

To my surprise, when I got back home, I found out that the sound in the movie recorded doesn’t sound like it claimed to be. So, the next day we had to go to Alamanda again. Unfortunately, Mr. Johnny was not around and according to his not so-friendly fellow co-worker, Mr Johnny is on leave. So, we had to come again today. Being helpful, Mr. Johnny changed for a new camera. I definitely will recommend this place for people who are looking for new camera. Thanks a bunch to Chech for being extra helpful, walaupun aku tak bayar duit minyak. Nyeh nyeh.

Ohh! It’s already 5.24 pm. Gotta go and fetch Lil’ Baby Rifqi.

till then, Happy Clicking!

In Memory of Nurul Jazlin

21 09 2007

The parents finally accepted the reality that their daughter who has been missing since 20th August 2007 – Nurul Jazlin is dead; brutally murdered.

I am personally touched by the Uncle’s effort in finding the missing Nurin. Here’s the link to the blog : In Search of Nurin Jazlin. I am even more emotionally touched looking at the parent’s expressions and reations towards the news. I am extremely disturbed upon hearing the news that the corpse found is identified as Nurin Jazlin.

I wonder of the kind of world we are living in now…

Al-Fatihah.

RM18 for 50 pieces (is this the correct term?)

19 09 2007

Whoa! I guess Raya fever hits almost everybody in the Unit as some of us have already pre-ordered raya cookies. Including me. Regardless the chance of tasting any of the cookies (tak tau sedap ke tak), I chose according to which has manage to attract my eyes and excel in making me salivate (maybe I’m exaggerating here!). Not necessarily the colourful ones though. Instead I opted for the plain and ordinary ones.

Almond London and Pineapple Tart.

Oh! Did I mention that the prices are great to be true as well? These are just part of it. Upcoming in the near future, on top of my list is to pre-order Amos and Flakes cookies from Kak Zu. Definitely a must have for Ayah during Hari Raya. He just loves Amos cookies. Can’t seem to get enough of it last year.

So, what about your raya cookies, people?

Tuesday with Ziggy

18 09 2007

I took an emergency leave yesterday as Rifqi is still not quite well. And today, the nursery refuses to babysit Rifqi ( to my shock, really). The reason; they’re afraid that it might be contagious and would affect the nannies. Urgh, come on! Diarrhoea is not contagious at all. It might be spreaded to others only through poor hygiene. Yup, if you’re handling the diapers or so, and you don’t wash your hand thoroughly after that, obviously you’re going to be ill and if you’re lucky enough, you’ll get diarrhea + hot fever at the same time. Hehehe. Gosh! By all means, there are gems all over your hands. Yuck!

Uhuu..back to my story. And because Rifqi is rejected ( is this the correct term?) by the nursery, Baba has to take leave today. Thanks Baba. I can’t function effectively without you. *mwahs* I just can’t afford to take a leave today as the work is already mounting on my desk. FYI, I had applied for a leave on Friday. The two days of me being away were celebrated by giving me more and more work to do. Duh!

I have another one great news! Or, maybe two. Due to his promotion, Insya-allah our beloved PSUK is leaving this coming October leaving me and Anis with abundant of tasks to tanggung. Huhu..and because my batch’s promotion is freezed, there will be no pengisian for PSUK’s post until Year 2009. Therefore, I am awarded with kerja-kerja Kenaikan Pangkat Guru Siswazah. And not forgetting kerja-kerja Pengiktirafan in which according to Puan is already one of my new task, effective immediately. Damn KPK for passing the work to us!

That’s all I have to share today.

Blogging off.

I Am NOT Whining at All ;p

4 09 2007

Yen is leaving for Penang today, eager to start his ten (10) days attachment at Affin Bank Seberang Perai branch. I’ll be leaving for Penang too this Sunday, making it perfect for Ayah and Mak to pick us up back to Jitra. I’m thinking of bringing Rifqi along as during my previous visit, the plan was cancelled due to improper planning and tight schedule.

The unit received the long-awaited Assistant Secretary (phew! finally). As most of us (the officers) are pretty occupied with work, we don’t get the chance to really sit down and talk. Besides, the PSUK is definitely not in the mood today. Sucks! It is not fun at all when moodiness lingers. Oh! As I heard from the staff, the new Assistant Secretary hails from UPM. He is about to complete his Masters and to become Daddy in a few months time.

With my clerk away, attending courses, I surely have too much to handle today. Luckily the succession planning discussion  is postponed to Friday. Thank God, Thank You Boss. At least I could come prepare for the discussion. Not to mention the promotion for Headmaster posts by Ministry of Education (MOE). Help! And also the exhibition on Thursday which needs to be monitor tomorrow and of course on the day of the event itself, which is the day after tomorrow.

So, until tomorrow comes,

For tonight I am going to chill and relax watching Desperate Housewives.

*chill people!*
