Song of The Month

18 08 2009

I’ve been playing this song by Ms. Swift over and over again for the past weeks. It is a song that’s easy to relate to and fall in love with. The tune is catchy and the music video is absolutely simple and sweet with gorgeous people in it. Lovin’ it!

The Arrival of My New Baby

26 09 2007

I remembered blogging about my ‘broken’ camera. Went without camera for about a month or so. Suffering and boring, indeed. I even had to borrow Yen’s cam for certain events – interview session at Penang and Integrity Convention at PICC. And the last two days, with  green lights from Zam, I went to Alamanda with Chech to get a new one. Yup, a brand new one.

This time around with more money to spend on, read : Zam said that he’s willing to pay half of the cost, I decided to look for a camera with better functions. Chech as the expert showed me the differences between available brands. Not forgetting the customer-friendly kiosk owner, Mr Johnny. We all agreed on something though. The best model is still Canon. Although I was more interested to Sony at first, but after listening to the explainations which sounded really convincing, I’d stick to Canon.

This time around, it’s DIGITAL IXUS 950IS. Instead of 4.0 megapixels read : my former cam, this new baby of mine is 8.0 megapixels with 4x optical zoom and a face detection function. Much much better than before.

To my surprise, when I got back home, I found out that the sound in the movie recorded doesn’t sound like it claimed to be. So, the next day we had to go to Alamanda again. Unfortunately, Mr. Johnny was not around and according to his not so-friendly fellow co-worker, Mr Johnny is on leave. So, we had to come again today. Being helpful, Mr. Johnny changed for a new camera. I definitely will recommend this place for people who are looking for new camera. Thanks a bunch to Chech for being extra helpful, walaupun aku tak bayar duit minyak. Nyeh nyeh.

Ohh! It’s already 5.24 pm. Gotta go and fetch Lil’ Baby Rifqi.

till then, Happy Clicking!

Here Comes Harry Potter!

28 09 2006

As I unintentionally browsed the Internet, the featured headline in www.yahoo.com just caught my eyes. Finally after years of waiting in desperation (the last sequel was so damn brilliant!) the next secheduled sequel is making its way to the cinema! What else? Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

Okay, I’d admit that I haven’t finished reading it but somehow through hundreds of  lecturing and debating sessions with my brother, I’ve got to learn few things about this masterpiece. Apparently in this book, a 15-year-old Harry Potter is in his 5th year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. With no difference like any other Muggle teenagers, he is in full-blown of adolescence, complete with regular outbursts of rage, a nearly debilitating crush and at the blooming of a powerful sense of rebellion. I personally found his angers in this book pretty irritating at times. The storyline which strecthed over almost 800 pages is another minus point for me.

However, my brother convinced me that after a while reading it, you’ll eventually find that this masterpiece is very special and completely differs from any other books that J.K.Rowling has written before. It excludes the “there’s mystery to be solved and the wrong person is suspected of being the villain” elements. Hmm, I guess that it’s enjoyable after all to read it for an avid reader just like my brother and I (???) even though to be dead honest, I’d prefer Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. No matter waht, sometimes; watching is a better option for those who hate reading! Well, as for now, I’m marking the release date of the ever-awaited movie in my next year’s calendar – July 13th 2007.

Harry Potter rules!
